Locations

  • R Rlab: Device is part of the homelab infrastructure. eg [lol, 1]
  • P Personal: Device is part of personal setup (not homelab).

Types

  • BM Bare Metal: Physical servers, including desktops and mini PCs.
  • VM Virtual Machine: VMs running on hypervisors.
  • CT Container: Containers running on container platforms (eg: LXC, Docker).
  • NT Network: Networking equipment such as routers, switches, access points.
  • DS Storage: Dedicated storage devices, NAS units.

Number

  • Incremental identifier for each device type, starting from 001.
